Veteran’s Day wishes for Southeast Texas

In Southeast Texas, Veteran’s Day is still a big deal.

Our community has been sending kids to the Marines, Army, Navy, Air force, and Coast Guard for over a hundred and fifty years.

During WWII, we had soldiers serve in multiple branches. One was a member of the Merchant Marine, Coast Guard, and the Army.

Across East Texas and the Golden Triangle, veterans are proud to wear caps telling when and where they served. Their neighbors are proud to see them and thank them for their service in restaurants, at church, or at the grocery store.

Southeast Texas hosts several chapters of the VFW and the American Legion.

Today, Wheeler Commercial would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has served and the families and communities across East Texas and the Golden Triangle who supported them and welcomed them home.
