Chemical Plant Explosion today in Shepherd TX

Today there was a large explosion at the Sound Resource Solutions facility in Shepherd, TX.

There are no reported facilities and one injury (considered minor by a spokesperson for Sound Resource Solutions.

School and church activities scheduled for today have been suspended.

The company products are used in paint remover and glue.

In Shepherd, Sound Resource Solutions employs between 30 and 40 people.

The facility has been operating for a decade and this is believed to be the first major incident at this location.
